Recipe adapted from Natalie Migliarini, a mixologist, cocktail stylist, photographer, and recipe developer based out of Seattle, WA. This special cocktail can be found on her blog Beautiful Booze.
This vodka-based libation contains Natalie’s favorite winter fruit: pomegranate. “Pomegranates are generally tart on the palate, though when mixed properly into a cocktail, they have a balanced flavor we all love to discover. Although at first sight pomegranates can seem intimidating, they’re in fact very approachable for mixing into your experimental cocktail concoction. The best process of juicing the pomegranate is to squeeze it like a lemon, though you could also get the seeds out by cracking open the fruit, then placing it in a small amount of water and gently releasing the seeds from the shell. Or you could take the easy route and purchase the pomegranate juice from the grocery store.”
